Foreign tourists planning to visit Russia must obtain either
a tourist visa or an electronic visa (
e-visa), depending on eligibility.
- Tourist Visa: Requires an invitation from an accredited Russian tour operator or hotel, submission of a visa application form, valid passport (with at least 6 months validity beyond the visa expiry), photo, and medical insurance. Applications are submitted to Russian consulates or visa centers in your country.
- Electronic Visa (E-Visa): Available for citizens of certain countries for visits to specific regions. The e-visa is single-entry, valid for up to 60 days with a stay limit of 16 days. Apply online at the official portal, attaching required documents and paying the fee. No invitation letter is needed.
